STYLED SHOOT IN NEW MILFORD

\

Always fun to know about the new venues popping up around the country especially when there are such ace wedding pros involved in the coordination.  Dave Noonan of of Carla Ten Eyck Photography captured these gems with all the magnificence of a New England Autumn as backdrop . Says Dave about this fascinating shoot, "I recently had the pleasure of photographing an editorial shoot to spotlight Connecticut's newest wedding and event venue, 19 Main, in historic downtown New Milford on the green. Perched on the corner of picturesque Main and Bank Street  sits 19 Main, a former bank restored to all of it's glory to now celebrate weddings and events. The building was originally built in 1903 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It features 3 original bank vaults, each one unique and amazing on their own but (get this!) the vault in the bridal suite was converted into a hair and makeup salon for brides on their wedding day to get professional hair and makeup done  right on site. 19 Main features 2 large ballrooms and a mezzanine/loft space that can serve as a cocktail hour or dessert table room. Downstairs, there is a beautiful bridal suite that features an art deco decor complete with a lounge and a grooms suite that features masculine wood paneling, modern leather couches, and a football table for the grooms entertainment. Upstairs, there is also another bridal suite the overlooks the historic village green and it can be used by the bride to get into her gown and entertain her bridal party before the festivities begin. (The light in this room is amazing!) There is also a full commercial kitchen for catering companies to use on the main floor.New Milford and the entire village green offers so many possibilities for unique portraits with it's many nooks and old New England small town charm. I had such a blast creating these images along with some of the best vendors in the wedding industry and I cannot wait to get back to 19 Main to photograph more weddings and events . . . . .

A STYLED SHOOT IN THE MOUNTAINS

Today we have a real gem of a styled shoot by Ashlee Crowden Photography.  The Colorado based shooter has captured her absolutely gorgeous friend in different points of light throughout this magical day of  shooting.  Love the tulle skirt shown here?  Ashlee gives a step by step DIY tutorial on her blog,.  Said Ashlee about putting this project together, "This was just a fun, glamour shoot I did with my friend. Her name is Mandi, and she's beautiful from the inside out. I made the skirt from tulle and picked up the tops at a local store. Hair and make up was done by myself, and the flowers are from Petals of Aloha. We climbed rocks and through trees to get these amazing shots! I'm so in love with all of them!"
