2016: A YEAR OF DESIGNS

Truly this has to be one of my favorite posts every year and something of a January 1st tradition.  Summing up all the gorgeousness created throughout the year, tulle, chiffon and lace once again took the stage, this year sporting looser and more costume-inspired designs.  Below are a few of my faves from the 2016 arsenal of allure . . . .
Directly above and below the CLAUDIA Dress here looks like something out of Downton Abbey with its cascading lace.  Perfect for garden or beach destinations this two piece dress travels light.  A mix of chantilly laces and ivory silk chiffon, the rosettes were made from hand cut and sculpted pieces of lace accented with a pearl . . . .
Above: baring your midriff on your wedding day might have shocked your great grandma but oh what a great beach frock the TONYA Dress would make!  A mix of Chantilly and Venice laces this two piece is total comfort . . . .
I sell quite a few of these tulle head pieces.  This one is a headband.  Yes, they're popular for a certain kind of bride who gets the word, 'Chic' on her wedding day.
Above: New spin on a tried and true piece in the collection, COSETTE gets a midriff treatment of torn chiffon, adding a bit of grunge to a sweet lace theme.  This is a custom piece perfect for the bride wanting the best of both worlds on her wedding day . . . .

A NEW YEARS WEDDING

New Years weddings always have a special sort of cache!  Think about it: Whether you're plans are for New Years Eve or Day, there's a forward look and feel to January 1st--a message you're sending about your relationship and taking that all important step into the future together. Today's post is a tribute to the perfect New Years Wedding. Some high end Dallas/Fort Worth vendors pulled together to create this outside the box, edgy styled shoot with bride and groom. Believe me, this is something with a definite viva la difference factor. Lyncca Harvey Photography has captured a big, bold color scheme and a tad bit of the futuristic making the contrast here extremely interesting and intriguing.  Happy New Years everyone!

THE FROSTED FOREST

Today is special because our post is all about a romantic wedding in the woods--one of my favorite themes!  Captured beautifully by Alberta-based shooter, Candice Nadeau of Candy Koated Design Stiudio, this is what she had to say about this fascinating project: 'Living in a part of the world where beautiful sunny days are at a premium - we wanted to showcase an outside the box location and look so we took to the forest, and we are excited over the result! This setting resulted in a whimsical and mysterious scene that included lose florals, earthy greens, hanging crystal chandeliers, a timeless Victorian lace wedding dress, Mercury Glass and Silver accents .. and then there was that cake!! Offering a unique approach to the classic cake table, we hung the wedding cake from the tress! So many unreal elements with this styled shoot that add the perfect amount of fairy tail to an otherwise scenic and natural setting . . . . .'
