Our goal was to show brides several different fashion options that are appropriate for a destination wedding. We styled our model in many different looks from classic and demure to sultry and dramatic. According to stylist, Beth Chapman, “fashion choices for a destination wedding are endless, as long as the fabric of your gown is lightweight and weather appropriate”.
As one of our locations was the Balinese inspired luxury resort, El Taj, several of our fashion looks had an exotic, Indonesian feel to them. We used bright colors inspired by the Mexican culture, landscape and architecture throughout each shoot, incorporated either through the fashion, make up, flowers or the décor.
Designer Ivy and Aster created a custom laser cut lace gown with a soft, blush underlay which was inspired by the delightful surroundings of Playa del Carmen.
Candice Coppola, owner and creative director of Jubilee Events, notes that Playa del Carmen is a fashionable location for a destination wedding, "There are so many amazing locations for a ceremony and reception-- from uniquely designed restaurants overlooking the ocean to the hip, "downtown" venues on Playa's 5th Avenue. You can have a beachy wedding, a wedding influenced by mexican culture, a romantic and etherial style soiree, or a very modern clean-lined affair. The possibilities are endless and with the right environment you don't need to bring in much decor."

Wow! I was blown away by the first wedding dress. If I was a bride that is what I would walk the aisle with while holding that last bouquet with the large tropical plant. Completely suitable for a destination wedding in Mexico.
