HEIDI AND SHAWN'S NORTHERN CALIFORNIA WEDDING

Ashley Paige Photography captured this wedding so beautifully with so many unique DIY details.  Heidi and Shawn wanted their wedding to be elegant but also fun and down to earth. The guys all wore purple ties with gray suits to match the girls. The bridesmaids wore bright purple dresses and  each girl wore a slightly different style dress. Their wedding was at the beautiful outdoor garden at Heather Farms in Walnut Creek, California. The roses were in full bloom which added a extra touch of elegance while Heidi and her father walkeddown the aisle through the roses.
Heidi's dress was absolutely stunning! Designed by Allure, it looked like she came straight out of a fairytale! It was a champagne color with lots of ruffled details and was absolutely breathtaking.
A lot of the details and decorations from the wedding were DIY. The bride and her friends made all the table displays and the table numbers were made using recycled wine corks. Heidi's mother and aunt made all the bouquets and flower arrangements. They went to the Oakland flower mart and created them all by themselves! Said Ashley about shooting the event, "I loved Heidi's bouquet beacause it was so elegant and simple--she personalized it by attaching her Grandma's vintage handkerchief to it.
Instead of a big traditional wedding cake they opted for cupcake towers! Each cupcake was topped with an edible mini bride and groom and wrapped in decorated white paper cupcake holders.
Their wedding was one of the most fun weddings I've had the honor of photographing in a long time! One of my favorite photos is the one of Heidi's Grandma wearing her sunglasses on the dance floor getting down to "I wear my Sunglasses at NIght" by Corey Hart. Capturing that moment was priceless for me!"
