THE SLIP DRESS

The most basic, simple, and elegant piece a bride can wear is a slip dress.  Derived off the sheath silhouette, slip dresses are gorgeous, especially when paired up with the right accessories.  These were inspired by Carolyn Besette--she wore the classic of all classics when she and JFK, Jr. tied the knot in 1996.  Thereafter, she changed the bridal-wear scene forever.  A slip dress can be accented with a train, cover-up, coat, or cape, to name just a few treatments.
Header Photo: This gemmie in a luxe 4-ply crepe called SHELIA evokes 1930s Hollywood glam.  Add the Peau d'ange and a Chantilly lace train to bring on that look of antiquity.  Above:  ARIADNE in silk white lightweight crepe. The lace train is cathedral length, creating the right touch of drama.
Above: More drama with REGINA. Ecru Chantilly lace against a matte satin can be worn with or without the detachable Watteau cathedral train out of the same lace. The floral back treatment is handmade. Below: ZOE is a bias-cut slip dress paired with a tulle-and-peau d'ange lace robe (pictured right).
