I realized many of my creations end up looking like something grown in a garden, or if not grown, complementary inside of one. Backs are bustled with intricate floral and foliage treatments; bodices strewn with 3-D laces reminiscent of something sprouting. Most of the flowers are handmade, an enjoyable and creative process. Some of my fave fabrics for creating the more structured silhouettes are peau, matte satin, and taffeta; for the more diaphanous, tulle and chiffon.
Header Photo: The OLGA dress. A bodice and skirt in duchesse satin with pick-up treatments. Wide embroidered ribbon is tacked by blush silk rosettes. Above: I named this all-over Chantilly lace dress after my Aunt SONIA. The ladylike aspect of the design would appeal to her and reflect the 50s-60s generation she came out of.
Above: GLORIANA. A mix of Chantilly and Venise laces. Lightweight lace floral cutouts scatter the shirred bodice. A blush lace sash accents the tulles skirt. Below: ARABELLA. A neckline scattered in silk and lace florals going on the repeat in the full tulle skirt.
Above: BRIGITTA. Alencon, Chantilly, and cotton laces are mixed in this design to create some serious Boho chic. Small lace rosettes are scattered on the back.
