VERA DOES DAVID'S

Yup, you heard right, by early Spring 2011, Vera Wang will debut at David's Bridal with a collection of gowns under $1,500. Also in the works are bridal accessories, bridesmaid dresses and even shoes to be brought out in the future. It will be interesting to see if the level of fabrics and workmanship can come near that of which you find in her other collections and flagship store.  What are your thoughts and impressions on this?

I think it's fab! While, I am sure that the price point will certainly affect the final product, it is still a great option for those on a limited budget. And I seriously doubt that Vera would lend her name to a poor quailty garnment.

I agree that Vera would excercise rather strict quality control.

Linked you from my post. =)

I am torn between loving it and hating it. Like you said it will be interesting to see what she come out with.

Interesting... I'm more inclined to believe that it'll end up like some of the H&M designer interactions - the quality will be compromised by choice of fabrics (cut and design will remain beautiful), but it won't matter as the different collections would attract completely different people, so there's no risk of damage to reputation.
