SHABBY AND CHIC

What actually is shabby chic? Getting that special aesthetic that defines it isn't all that difficult.  Add something very elegant like fine china to a rustic backdrop and you've nailed the look.  This goes for the fashion element as well.  The finest lace you can find upcycled into a bodice with mismatched lace in the skirt--you get the idea.  Juxtaposition is the key here blending the gold and all that glitters with weathered elements . . . .
