THE BRIDAL ROBE

The bridal robe we're talking about today isn't the kind you put on when you're surrounded by your bridesmaids and hairstylist before the ceremony. That kind deserves a post of its very own. These bridal robes and hybrid kimonos are garments that match or complement the gown you wear underneath. It's a separate piece that has enough drama to make an entrance into the ceremony and can be doffed (if you want) post-nups for the after-party. Most of the appeal of this style is its convertibility. The robe can be long with a full train, mid-length, or a jacket-like top that dips low in the back. The underdress is usually a simple design, such as a slip dress or an evening gown silhouette. Above and below are robes so light and sheer when worn, you'd swear some are one-piece dresses.
Header Photo & Directly Above:  Lots of grand entrance drama here with a longer version of the ESTELLE Robe, complete with a sweep train.  In a lightweight blush tulle, this is robe bordered in navy blue Chantilly lace. Looks stunning worn over a strapless ball gown, clasped with a navy-and-gold cameo that gives it a unique touch. Below: PICCALINA. A Chantilly lace rose and leaf motif border length, hem and sleeves.  This kimono-like delicate robe is worn over a crepe slip dress with a sweep train.

Above: The SERAPHINA blouse-jacket in lightweight tulle paired up with a Chantilly lace slip dress.  Particularly beautiful are the bias-cut neck and arm ruffles, accented with lace-cutout roses. Below: ADRIEL. A tulle and ivory lace jacket with long bell sleeves bordered in a delicate Chantilly lace. This confection is worn over a crepe slip dress with a sweep train.
Above: The jacket version of ESTELLE with all the same charm of navy blue lace on blush tulle. Worn over an all-over lace slip dress, perfect for wearing on its own for the after-ceremony.
