AN URBAN CHIC WEDDING

The inspiration for this styled-shoot comes from this history and culture of downtown El Paso along with its breathtaking cityscape. The Alcantar Sky Garden sits on top of the Plaza Theater, a fully restored, 1930's Spanish Colonial Revival style theater in downtown El Paso, Texas. The Sky Garden overlooks the city rich in architecture history which gave inspiration to the design of the wedding. This is evident in the table place cards which feature historic pictures of the downtown buildings under glass domes and the names of the buildings serve as the table numbers, created by Three Sisters Events. The downtown area features buildings representing every period of Texas history with some going back to when the area was occupied by Mexico and Spain.
The colors for the wedding itself came from the El Paso area. Bright, beautiful bursts of color from a local flower farm highlighting the colors of the season. Calhoun Flower Farm created a colorful bouquet of floral that seems to sprout up from the concrete floor. Blooming artichokes take center stage in the bride's bouquet and centerpieces on the cocktail tables, lending a touch of the unexpected. Savage Goods Bakery created rustic donuts in flavors like blueberry vanilla which were transformed into a nontraditional wedding cake by Three Sisters Events who styled the wedding. El Paso Live venue, Alcantar Sky Garden provided the perfect wedding venue which included the exceptional culinary menu of beef tenderloin accompanied with a jumbo prawn duo, cilantro-peanut pesto mashed potatoes, jumbo asparagus and a chipolte-Meyer lemon cream sauce finished off with a wild berries creme brulee cheesecake.
