STYLED SHOOT AT OAKHOLM FARM

When Shannon Downey of More Than A Moment started discussing a styled shoot at Christina's new property, Oakholm Farm and Estate, there were so many different directions the wedding pros could go in. Brooke, of Brooke Ellen Photography had shared a few photos with Christina before all of us got involved. When Shannon saw the photos, she automatically started creating a whimsical bohemian theme with  boho features and a muted pastel palette. Some of the reoccurring design elements Shannon wanted to incorporate were feathers, torn fabrics, dream catchers and triangular shapes such as arrows. Macrame is popular with bohemian and the white rope would contrast nicely against some of the wooden textures and elements. After touring the property and home it was easy to imagine all the different places to stage vignettes. Says Shannon, "While touring the house I saw multiple eclectic wooden chairs and knew I wanted to ask Christina to collect a plethora of them to stage a ceremony site by the lake with mismatched seating. The ceremony backdrop would not only be the beautiful lake but three large dream catchers I made from large doilies and ribbon wrapped hoops. Along with the design development I also create all of the stationary items. Everyone dreams of the perfect wedding day and this whimsical take on a bohemian style was fun and exciting to develop and create. Not only getting to exercise some artistic freedom but also helping promote the farm as a new venue was a must participate decision for me and my company."
